shimmerra is a specialist school for live production decks and control rooms. We teach multi-camera switching, live broadcasting techniques, real-time video operation and the professional management of television and streaming productions.
Our story
Built by operators who wanted a better way in
Most of our tutors learned live production the hard way: shadowing, guessing and hoping a quiet shift would give them time on the desk. shimmerra was created to give every learner the hours on the desk that we never had.
Today we run a fully equipped gallery and studio floor, and each course is built around a real programme: scripted, rehearsed, cut live and reviewed together. By the end you will have operated every position on the crew, from camera cues to the final programme output.
